Really love the fit and finish of this gun and it is so easy to take apart and clean. The 3 dot sights are nice to look at and the grip feels good. also figured out how to use the cable lock that comes with it and fit it all into the S&W case it came in. I bought the range and carry deal and it is well worth it. 3 magazines a 2 mag holster and kydex holster for the pistol. cable lock, hearing protection, clear chamber flag, different sized palm swells, Uplula speed loader, and the case which is lockable. Sure can hardly wait to shoot it!:D

Hey there fellow M&P nut! It was my first too, and I've had it a few weeks now, having picked up a few other things but I'm still giddy over it. I think it's by far the best looking polymer pistol ever made. I don't even mind the trigger much but I did order the APEX trigger and comp AEK. Should make an almost perfect gun, perfect. There's something fundamentally rewarding about how it feels, from the grip to the action. I got a 92FS as well, which feels like a fine watch but I still love the feel of the M&P for different reasons.

M&P 40 is a great piece. I use it everyday at work.

you'll love it.

The range kit comes with a 10 lbs trigger right?

I don't have a scale to measure it but it doesn't feel like 10 lbs to me. I think they are supposed to be 6-8 pound triggers but this one feels like a 6 to me. I will get a pull scale and see.

Was also my first , ive himmed and hawed about selling it before but i always keep changing my mind , i blame it on the 1911 bug. Ive ran everything through it i can find and it just keeps on chuggin along .

Also found this weekend that even with the magazine disconnect and the internal lever type thing for the take down you can still disassemble it by pulling the trigger which i like .

yes my short term att and transfer proof was faxed to the store and i was able to pick it up but i must still wait for my ltatt and registrations to show in the mail before i can shoot it.

Congrats, thats a great firearm. I always recommend it the S&W M&P40 or M&P9 range/carry kit to my customers. Its one of those things where you just cant go wrong.
