My new manners T4 in my Tikka Tactical

I have had a pile of PM's about this stock and I finally received it and now the rifle is ready to shoot. I ordered it back in August. There are a bunch or color choices and I almost went with one of their camo job that look outstanding but was unsure what the total cost would be with the conversion factor and shipping etc so decided to go with the OD green.

They ask for the barrel size and I measured as best as I could but still had to do a touch of trimming. It wasn't a big deal as it is very easy to do. The fit for the bottom plastic was very good as well as the fit around the action. I was going to bed it, but after spending a little time adjusting the lug and getting things just right I am gtg. The stock is very stiff and feels good. It is the same feel as a Mcmillian a-5. The rifle feels alot more solid then the factory stock.

I am still trying to decide whether or not do to a gap camo job on it. So now i have to get some reloads done this week and off to the range next weekend. Hopefully the weather is still decent. And now the pics. They are looking kinda dusty and I guess it is time to vacuum the carpet.

So other than the barrel inlet it dropped right in?

Yep. Kinda hard to describe but it almost looks like it was bedded for a t3 as the stock is shaped exactly like the bottom of my action. Tom had posted that it is designed to be a drop in. I should have taken a pic of the stock with action beside it.

I love the Manners stocks, gonna have to build a rifle on one someday. I allso here the quality on them is top notch. Nice setup.

I will be interested in your range report.Dress up warm. Will be interested to hear if your groups tighten up with a better stock? I will e-mail Ian Robertson and get a price for his tac stock for the T-3.Will get without cheek riser and use stock pad to get up to scope line.

Did he supply a new recoil lug or did you extract the old one out of the Tikka stock?

I took the one out of the old stock. One of the guys that got one had a remington style lug already on his rifle so they set up the stock for it.

I had it airmailed to me which cost a about 70 bucks but if you go to their website all the pricing is there. Just do the dollar conversion and add in any of the bells and whistles you want plus shipping.
