My New Mosin.

Well it has arrived, my new Mosin and I could not be happier she is a 1929 Tula, Hex Receiver in beautiful shape. I have always wanted to get one so I took the plunge and I can't wait to take it out to the Range....Thank you SFRC!!

Thanks Cloverdale, This one is going to be getting a lot of Range time too. I was doing some reading on these Rifles last night ...very rich in History.

I wish I had a box of beer for every time I've heard how ugly Mosin's are. Personally I find them somewhat graceful.
I don't have one at the moment ( But I know where there is a Finn '91...), I've an M-39 and an M44. Yeah they are worth 2 - 3 times as much but the M-39 is blocky to handle and the M44 isn't gracefuly like a '91.

Yeah, they are beautiful rifles. Especially with the nice hex-reciever.

Bring your bayonet for range time, not sure which but, some are sighted in for with it mounted.

I was very surprised by the weight, I thought it would be a bit heavier but it has a nice weight to it....I have a feeling this will not be my last Mosin purchase...lol.

Agreed!! The only thing that I may add to this is one of those Brass Stacker scope mounts that fits over the rear sight and try to find a good long eye relief scope, a very small mod that can be easliy reversed.
