My new Mossberg 590A1

Whats one of these worth? Who's selling them over the internet. I'm planning a few gun buys if the registry gets scrapped :)

Depends on whose selling it. I bought mine from P&D Enterprises and it cost me just over $900 with taxes included. Some of that is shipping, it was listed at $825.00.

Nice! Thanks for the range report. I'm a new A1 owner as well and enjoying the quality of the product.
I went for the base 20" model... but sure like that bayonet option. I'll be looking into that......

...anyways ...... here's a pic for others to compare

I like that one better too.:)

I like clean lines on a shotgun.

I got mine out and every time i shot the bayonet would fall off !!
Have any of you heard of this ? Or do i just have a bad bayonet ?

Happened to mine too, mossberg says it is a bad bayonet, said to send it in for a replacement, I never got around to it. Frankly I could care less. If i want a quality bayonet i will buy a new one, its kind of silly anyhow.

Where did you buy that Mossberg 590 with the 14" barrel?

And if you don't mind saying so, how much did you pay?

BTW, does it have the heavy walled barrel and metal trigger guard?

I bought the 14"Mossberg Compact at my Range(retail side).
It was on consignment, in very good unfired condition, owned by a "collector". I bought it after my range session. (It was on the rack for only a couple hours)
It's the 590 so it has the heavy bbl but not the metal trigger guard.
There's one for sale on the EE....but I didn't pay that much. They shoot awesome and well balanced. They're rare up here so good luck finding one. If you do...you may have to pay $$$$ if you want it.
When I finally got mine I said I would never sell it. But everything is for sale at the right price:)

X2 where did u get that sucker? The shortest mossy I could find was the 18.5, great gun but I would love one that's even more packable.

While it's more compact it still carries a bit of weight with the heavy bbl and so probably wont be ideal as a "packable".
Besides, it's too pretty to beat up and treated like that....IMO

14" models are L.E

You can get a 930 with a 14" barrel as well.

14" Mossbergs are not as common as the 14" Benelli/Fabarm or Remingtons

Not worth paying $400+ more for nothing more than 4" shorter barrel

My sentiments exactally, paying so much more for just a slightly longer barrel just doesn't hold water with me. I wish that shorter barrels were more readily availble so I could just cut off some length for those hiking trips or just to look cool.

Thanks!

I didn't realize they had the plastic trigger guard.

I guess the current versions do. They are all listed as being 590A1 models with metal trigger guards.

I'd like to pick up a model 51681. Too bad they won't allow them to be exported anymore.:(

Being able to buy one for around $400 would be sweet!:D

Just order me a 590A1 and a 930 Home Security. Can't wait to get them in a couple weeks. Wife can have the 930.. more likely to hit something *chuckle*

Congrats on getting one of the nicest all around shotguns of its type. Is it really loud with that porting? That has been the one thing that keeps me away from that shotgun.

Sling make?
