Just got her in today, cleaned it up and put on some new grips. I think it looks great for a 350$ pistol, what do you guys think?

I defiently want it. I have the two tone and I am trying to trade it for a chrome on on the ee but I don't think anyone will bite. I may have to just sell it straight up.
 
Just a suggestion, unscrew the button on that mag release and put some loc-tite on the threads. Mine jiggled off and rolled away into the unmentionable areas of the range, leaving a nasty little thin screw as a mag release :)

On the plus side, a 1911 replacement just dropped in with no mods.
 
There is a made in china mark under the slide on the frame. But it seems like it was stamped into the frame before it was plated, so its almost non-existent. You realy have to look hard under the right light to see the mark.

Hard chrome can be had as a matte or gloss finish. Gloss is more costly because it involves polishing the gun first. Got this of web...

Hard Chrome

As of this writing, hard chrome is the end-all, be-all firearms finish. Except for one thing: it isn't black. It is very hard, testing in the 70's in the Rockwell C scale. It is very wear resistant and durable because of this hardness. Applied properly, it bonds well to both carbon and stainless steel and has a degree of natural lubricity. It doesn’t always cover all interior surfaces and can build up on edges and corners. Like bluing, different texturing techniques can be used during metal prep to give hard chrome differing degrees of gloss. Most frequently hard chrome is done in an all-over matte finish. Occasionally, you will see a combined texture of matte rounds and polished flats (the polishing is done to around 400 grit and called "brushed" usually). The combined texture hard chrome job needs to be reserved for a pistol with very good surfaces and true flats, as it will show any flaw easily.
 
I almost pulled the trigger on one.....but then started thinking about everything I would end up replacing.....still on the fence lol
 
Where did you get those grips and what make are they? Pretty sweet looking on that gun. Is that a dust cover rub on the left side of the slide or did it come that way?
 
And Can Am smacks another one out of the park! I'm hoping that this is a sign that they are going to import the entire Norinco 1911 line.

Aparently there are some real interesting products not brought to Canada at the moment.. if they got them it would be like a golds rush..
