Ok, so I did my research, read the reviews on inexpensive over unders. off to a nearby CT store to shop. Picked up a Baikal, felt like a log but pointed ok. Picked up a cpl Beretta's nice but just dint fit and the $$$ was too much. So I bought an Stoeger IGA loved the Brazilian hardwood, immaculate fit an finish, fabulous satin finish. Only drawback is a single non selectable trigger.

Off to the woods to pop its cherry. Wife christened it by taking a sprucey ( I let her shoot my new gun yes..sharing is good) I christened it an hour later with a nice varying hare 1lb4oz dressed for the pot. This thing points like a dream great crisp trigger cant wait for trap night.

I would reccomend this gun to anyone on a budget looking for a NIB O/U.

$400 plus tax great deal !!!

Hey, how do those hares taste? I heard they are very undesirable in taste?

We have lot's of them here and I could have shot quite a few by now but was reluctant because of what I heard.

Could you possibly PM me and give me some pointers on them if you dont mind?

try taking the snowshoe rabbit and after cleaning it, parboil in a pot for about 30 to 60 minutes. tenderizes it and takes out any bad taste. marinade in whatever you like and slap it on the bar-b-que. i paid $460.00 for a 20 ga. condor about 15 years ago. you got a pretty good deal
 
Nice! $400 is a great price. I got my first gun...a Rem 870 at CT, but they don't carry firearms around here any more. :(

the ct store in kenora advertises a big selection of guns most months in canadian access to firearms. but the ct where i am only sells ammo and air rifles. if you buy ammo in the sporting goods section, it must be the same elsewhere to, they put it in a red heavy vinyl pouch, lock it with a snap and you carry it to the check out where they undo it while everyone else watches to see what you have. when i asked why, they said for security reasons and it's the law. O.K.!!!
