My new (old) Desert Eagle..........

I really like mine
I bought it in .44 Mag and then bought the .357 top end and mags off of ebay

Here is the original in nickle finish

The 357 top is older. The Slide looks like a Mark 1 but it says Magnum Research. The gun is a Mark VII no?

To swap between .50ae and .44mag you only have to change the barrel, to swap to .357mag you have to change the barrel and bolt and of course they all require the proper mag.

as far as I know, the Mark VII and Mark I are interchangeable. the only differences were the trigger, recoil spring assembly, safety and, the gas piston is pinned to the slide in the Mark I
the Mark XIX is not compatible with the earlier models
I dont believe there was a .50 in the Mark VII version

I beleive there is an interesting subtlety here: the early .50s were sold as Mark VIIs but they were built to the standard that became the Mark XIX. So they look like a Mark XIX, with the larger slide, and 7/8" dovetail; but had a Mark VII serial.

There was a gent at the Edge who had a VII 50 when I bought my XIX. We compared them in some detail, and they were identical except for his older gun having a much higher serial number (mine is in the 700s).

Besides.... we all know The DE is a novelty gun. Any gun that gets too dirty to shoot and gets FTF after 150 rounds as all DE's do, is not a gun you'd want to rely on. I'll get 500 rounds from my Sig Tacops before it even hiccups

You rely on your handgun for what purpose exactly? In Canada, a handgun is a range toy.

You juss made urself look dumb, 500 rounds no hick up is nothing to brag.
Try 1500 + on a glock & im in no means a glock fan

Haha
You're the one who can't spell!! Dude.... I'd NEVER shoot 1500 rounds through ANY of my guns without a complete strip and cleaning. As a matter of fact, I usually don't go more than 2 trips to the range before I clean them.
