Congrats on your new toy. Looks like fun. Is the grip much bigger than that of a 1911.
In one outing, i will go 150 rounds of 44 mag in my DE, 150 rounds of 357 mag in my Coonan, 200 rounds of 22 lr with my Ruger single 10... That ought to be a good day's work, after that i will clean my handguns, so according to your statement, i will go a hole day without a hiccup, that is a good score... JP.Besides.... we all know The DE is a novelty gun. Any gun that gets too dirty to shoot and gets FTF after 150 rounds as all DE's do, is not a gun you'd want to rely on. I'll get 500 rounds from my Sig Tacops before it even hiccups

44 mag and 357 mag are just great calibers, the 10mm Glock is on my short list to get very shortly, there is something about those legendary powerfull calibers that appeal to me in handgun shooting, sure less powerfull caliber will be cheaper to shoot... JP.
I am ready to for the 10mm, with my Thureon 10mm i made load devellopment and i got a super hot load that i rolled for the carbine, i will probably get a Glock since i got a dozen of mag for it ( same are used in the TD), i am pushing out of my TD a load that got the energy of a 357 mag full load out of a carbine (1100 pounds) so out of a Glock, it should peak @ around 650 pounds, i will do tests over the Oehler to have the precise values ( that is almost twice what a 45 acp give, just incredible)... JP.I just jumped on the 10mm bandwagon, I picked up a Kimber 1911, should have it sometime next week, I'm looking forward to reloading for it to see the real power of the 10mm and not the weak factory ammo.
I try and keep it down to 3 calibers in handguns . They are .45acp, .357 and .44 mag. If I had to settle on just one it would be .357
I dont really have a use for 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP or Colt 45 @ this point i am not interrested in them, maybe my idea will change with times, who know, but i doubt it... JP.
