My new remington 597 vtr. Tell me what you guys think.

I have the basic 597 model, so this is obviously making me jealous!

Have you found that magazine to have feeding issues? I find that with more than 15 or so in it that it doesn't feed well.

Feeding issues.

Umm i haven't had any feeding problems. I only took it to the range once. Put about 100 rounds through it and only 1 mis-fire. I got one mag with the gun and another i bought separately at my local range for about $21. The one thing that i wasn't to thrilled about was having to pay $230 for the scope mount. After realizing that wasn't one of my brightest decisions tried to return it 1 day later and they wouldn't give me my money back, not even store credit .

Back to the original topic i heard a couple people say they had feeding and ejecting issues but mine doesn't have any. Maybe i'm lucky? Maybe ill get issues when i start taking it to the range more. I dunno.

What brand and model scope mount is that?

Don't feel bad about buying quality mounts and optics, it's always worthwhile in the end.

$230 for a scope mount? Isn't there a rail already on the gun? I would expect 11mm grooves cut at least like all other 22's now have.

What reputable dealer did you buy it from who wouldn't offer an exchange or credit?
