The best/first upgrade you should do - HOGUE FINGER GROOVE GRIPS. Makes the gun MUCH nicer to handle and manipulate.

That was the first thing I bought for my KP89DC!

Barrel is 4 1/4" I believe correct?

I agree, the finger groved grips make a great upgrade for these.
