First off. Hat's off to the folks at P and D. Customer service second to none.
Cudo's to Alberta CFO. 22 hours for ATT and LTATT (submitted at 2pm yesterday). AB CFO is apparently helping out BC's backlog.

Thanks guys. I was wondering about the different colored dots myself. Time to Google. Cannot wait for the range tomorrow. The ATT wait today was the worst...time seemed to stand still. I feel for those in other Provinces that are waiting weeks for ATT's to get approved.
 
It seems the different colored dots are simply the inspectors "tag". One fired case in an envelope, signed by Stephanie Frisbie included in my box.
 
I just got my ruger sr1911 and can't believe what a nice gun no flaws on the exterier at all,I was worried about getting a rattle trap of a gun from what some have posted on here but mine is tight with no rattles in the slide and the trigger is also tight just as tight as the kimber eclipse I had.The gun shoots very good and the sites are right on target,I have never bought such a nice gun for the money, this gun could easily sell for $1000.00

Ruger can afford to price this at $700 because unlike some operations that run out of their basements, this company has the resources to source and manufacture quality parts for volume at profitable prices.

Solid gun for the money. I wouldn't worry about minor rattles.
 
Im in the market for a 1911. Bang for buck seems real good with the sr1911. Nice hand gun man . No regretes with that purchase I bet.

I called Al's today - they ran out. I submitted an order anyway - will see on Monday what they say.

Wanatalls got a great collection of Sig's, but I did not find Ruger SR1911 .45
