My new Ruger SR9 OD Green :)

As for the M&P's one in .45ACP looks very interesting.

NAA.

Especially if it's already got an Apex kit in it and about 1,000 rounds total through it?

I have one in black/stainless and really like it. Not a huge fan of the trigger, but it shoots well and never misfires. Mine was only about $550, have prices gone up or is OD green more?

What kind of rifling does this have? Would it be cast lead bullet friendly? My wife has small hands and I was thinking about buying her one. She does well with a 1911 grip, but she finds double-stacked 9mm bulky and she can't reach anything without using her other hand. Sadly they don't seem to make many 9mm's in single stacked format anymore with a slim grip, other than the 1911 format.

Your wife should have zero problems with the grips on the SR9. I have small hands as well and can easily reach the all the controls. That ambi mag release really helps.

I've not shot any cast bullets through mine (115 gr FMJ is all it sees) but I haven't heard of any problems with it.

Who's got these SR9's in stock now? Doesn't seem like any site sponsors have any now.

I am also looking for one;)
Found a dealer that has them for 479.00 but doesnt have them in stock right now:( I would even consider a used one if the price was right.
I would realy like to hold one to see how it feels.Maybe there will be one at the Kamloops show so i can try it out.

Cool, thanks for the price check, I'm currently debating a 9mm pistol or a Norc m4.
As for how they feel, I haven't shot one but the grip angle is pretty nice, they are light and point easily.

The SR9 I bought for my wife as a surprise came in today. She really likes it (thank goodness)! She'll be shooting it this Saturday, so we'll see if she likes it as much as the 1911. She's amazed at how light it is! LOL

You can do mods to it? Seriously as a 1911 kind of person, this is our first "modern" pistol apart from the Ruger MK III 22/45 pistol, assuming the CZ 75B doesn't count as modern either! :p

Well taking out the magazine safety...really easy to do btw will help clean up the trigger some...same with cutting off 1-2 coils on the striker spring. You can also get a 3.5# Ghost trigger disconnect bar which will REALLY help. There other other things you can add too but are not really needed like a stainless steel metal guide rod and so on.
