My New Sako 338WM Your Thoughts

Here are a couple pics of my sako wearing low talleys with a leupold 6.5-20x40. It used to be a .338win, now its a .338 jarrett. It should have a similar barrel contour to yours.

Nice gun as usual Kimberman, but some of the experts on here say your rings are far too high for a proper cheek weld in most cases :jerkit:.

For the OP, I have Warne Mediums on my Sako 85 and there on the upper limit as far as height...but I seem to be having nothing but problems with my Warnes.

I also emailed Talley about an ETA on some Sako 85 lightweight one piece mounts they told me a "few months".

I usually have good luck getting talley's. Just got an order the other day. Maybe that particular part number is in short supply. The one peice rings will get the height down, but I don't care for the aluminum on the the bigger boomer's. One thing is for sure, if talley fixed rings won't hold it, nothing will.

Well Talleys seem to hard to come by so I went with the low fixed Leupold rings
and VX-1 3x9x40 wide duplex for glass.
Can't wait to put it all together.

Well I started too mount the low Leupold's on the Sako and found I could not get proper clearance the scope bell touched the barrel reordering Med.sure would have liked the Lows?

Well I just bought 200 pcs of 225 grain Nosler Partitions i look forward to try the Barnes as well.
But what about my scope problem what rings are higher that the leupold low's stiil keeping them low with a VX1?
