Finally got my scope mounted on the rifle
Thanks to Wolverine for the speedy shipment of the B-Square rings! Mounted is a Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn 6-18x50 with B-Square Sport Utility "high" rings. The rings provide sufficient clearance.
This is my first scoped rifle though, and I'm curious about one thing. The top half of the rings do not meet face-to-face with the scope mounted. Whichever side was fastened first has the mating surface touching for obvious reasons, but there is a gap on the other side. I tightened the bolts in a crisscross pattern. I figure it will work fine like this considering there isn't much recoil, but should the ring faces be touching or is there supposed to be a gap?
