In what seems to be fine CNG tradition, this is my fist gun, here is my new Mossberg 930 combo.

I got it about about a month ago and have been shooting a few times now. I'm loving the whole gun ownership, shooting thing.

I want to buy one, but I can afford to get a Gold or Ulrika.

I mean like is the only difference between the high end semi's the refinement? Like the edges are smooth? Or the choke tubes are higher grade steel? Is that why ppl pay $500 more for the name brand?

Also, how's the 930 for sporting clays/trap?

I used it on booth skeet and trap.
I SUCK AT SKEET, but a few targets got hit.

As for trap, again it was my first time shooting with this gun, and my 3rd time ever shooting, and i missed less than 10, so i'm pretty sure it was user error.

I found little kick on the gun, and it cycled the lighter shells just fine.

I'm more than happy with the gun, and stand behind it's GREAT value

Where'd you buy it, if you don't mind my asking? I've been looking for the walnut stocked model for a while now and no place I've tried has them.

It's matte and has fibre optic sight on the SIR version. It's for waterfowling.

The picture above is a field model, with bluing and a bead sight.

I walked into my local gun store, told them the model number and asked how much it would be to have it ordered.

I could barely find semi auto mossbergs around, just lots of pumps.

The price sounded good, and 3 or 4 days later they had my gun waiting for me.

nice rig

Nice rig; I picked up one last year at SIR for under $500. I got the synthetic version with the red sight. I like these guns because as a southpaw the tang safety is great and with the shim kit you can adjust the comb height to fit. With your slug barrel you should be a terror on deer. I have used buckshot in mine when calling coyotes with a buddy and it plumb tears them up...Enjoy...
