My new Sig!

WHy is it dangerous to show the serial numbers? Would a gangsta erase his and copy the new one? That makes no sense! I could go to any store any time and pick up dozens of serial numbers. What is the problem?

No, but a trouble maker or other lieberal could phone the serial number in as stolen, causing all kinds of grief down the road for the legal owner.

Nice new toy mmaguy! Love those wooden grips!

No I never said dangerous.

As Skeetgunner implies, our forum is being monitored and most of us aren't too enthused by the idea of a registry, let alone the media website which allowed a general vicinity search of types of firearms.

It isn't dangerous per se, but...one may choose to take precaution as to how much personal information you provide over the WWW.

Do the numbers 2/2/75 mean anything to you? Good luck on your up coming marriage to an anti-gun girl. Don't feel a little violated? (I'll remove all of this...but the point being..)

Humans are creatures of habit...and keen trouble makers can see to make use of that.

Sigs are my favourite and you guys take way way better pics than I ever could, NICE!!

That gun is nothing short of beautiful!

Isn't it an amazing feeling when you get a new pistol? I love this sport! Can't wait until Thursday to shoot some IDPA!

Have fun! :D

Thanks, Winz. We're changing the images.

I use a program called photofiltre. It's free. What I do is copy and paste the areas andround the serial numbers, so the end result is a a pic of your pistol, just without the s/n. It looks much better than blacking it out. In the end it looks like no S/N was put on the pistol :D

I love the rosewood grips - I added a pair to my 226R.

I just got the hogue OD aluminum grips in the mail yesterday. I'll update with pics when I get back in a few weeks.

They grip realy well. I can hold my hand at almost a 90 and the grips won't fall out.

Sigs look the best with wood grips, imho

, that looks real nice nickorette,

anyone here with nills on there 226?

It is a beautiful gun, but does anyone else find the big slot-head screws on the grips very old fashioned compared to the rest of the design? To me, they just don't seem to fit with an otherwise very attractive design.

That gun is a piece of crap!

I guess I could take it off your hands if you want....I'll even give you 100.00 bucks for the trouble. You don't need it.
