My new STI Spartan

I JUST picked up a Spartan as well, but mine came with a different hammer......looks to be the exact same hammer used on the STI Trojans.....Anyone els notice this on the new Spartans coming in? Oh and by the way, it's an unreal gun! Can't get over how nice it shoots and feels!

Really? The Norinco and Springfield I used to have never had anything like that... I'm hoping i put it the way it's supposed to go. Makes me wonder if it's even necessary.

Sounds like a buffer (odd shaped piece of plastic on the end of the spring guide closest to the barrel link) if so it won't hurt. When it wears out just change the spring and don't replace it. If your spring hasn't been clipped to accomodate the buffer, you're probably OK to just leave it out. What I just wrote will probably start a fire with regard to the utility of the little piece of plastic, but what the hell
