Is it OK to put smilies in the title of the thread?

Hey, all kidding aside, here's a picture of my new stock. I picked it up a couple months ago, painted it, but had to get a collapsible buttstock before it was usable. Since I just got my AR back, I yanked the buttstock off the AR, threaded it onto the 14 and it is just beautiful. All I need now is for it to have it's own instead of a borrowed, plus pick up an extra handguard to match the new paint scheme.

Oh, plus I added a new BUG to the collection. Taurus Titanium .357. 19 oz empty. The Ruger is my normal carry gun. Yes, I get to do that. :)

Why not camo paint the hand gaurd too?
Also I do believe that Remington sells there camo stock's that would fit that rifle nicely ;)

what you are looking at in that pic is a hand crafted brand new stock, using the latest techniques and materials in fiberglass/carbon fiber laminating/molding. there is nothing "bubba" about it. As for ridiculous price....... 549 with no buttstock and grip and 629.00 with a buttstock and hogue grip ........ and your only other option is the mcmillan mfs 14 , for custom composite and the vltor for a usgi chop mod....... both are within the same market price as what i offer. I use the same techniques and materials used in the production of high end marine and auto parts.
Not to worried about the naysayers...... I hear from my clients and thier feedback, afterall, they have used them, they would know ;)
The other thing i think about is the MORE THAN a couple hundred usgi stocks i modified in the 3 versions i was making and not one single person has come on cgn and complained about my "bubba'd" stock failing on them. I have confidence in my work and stand behind it 100% and back my new stocks with lifetime warranties.

Calvin, she looks great man, nice paint job ;)

M14 Doc, is there somewhere you have pictures of the various styles of stocks you currently offer? Do you make anything like an E2 stock?

I can still do the M14SE2 usgi stock mod for folks.
its about 20 hours in labour from start to finish using your supplied existing usgi stock
a 6061 T6 aluminum grip adaptor is imbedded and the chopped and relocated butttstock is tied in to this adaptor producing a stronger than original buttstock section that is level with the bore plane. means no cheek risers required for irons or optics and the recoil/muzzle control this stock affords is a vast improvement over a standard stock.
I do this mod for 325.00, 375.00 for version with 12" rail under forstock...... BUT i won't be able to take any work in for this service until mid may.

as for new stocks, The first run had such tight receiver inlet tolerances that many newer chinese rifles where not simply a drop in fit. Due to this, I suspended further sales and orders to have the inlet fixtures altered to allieviate this tight inlet issue.
I have plans to release the M14SE2 later this summer in a new manufacture carbon fiber composite version that will accept the standard M14 buttplates or M1A recoil pads. I don't want this to be a high end bells and whistles stock and will be endeavoring to make them as affordable as possible and backed by a lifetime warranty like the other stocks i currently manufacture. The stocks I modify from usgi fiberglass, while there is no expressed warranty like the new stocks, I do guarantee my work will not fail for the life of the stock, or it's repaired and refinished at no charge. I have not had to excercise that option yet...... save one repair that came in due to canada post damage ;)

The problem is I have two different stocks, both custom painted by me. The full length USGI fiberglass that I painted in a fern leaf pattern tan and green and this chop mod that I painted as seen above. I hadn't done the handguard because I wasn't sure I was done yet. I need another handguard so that I have one for each scheme.

meh, the M14 doc stocks look too bubba for my tastes, the price is ridiculus aswell...

The price for this was more than reasonable compared to any of the other aftermarket outfits out there. As far as bubba'd, the quality of this stock is excellent. The buttstock mounts in machined aircraft grade aluminium, the fit and finish are comparable to many stocks I've handled, and the rifle is solidly mounted. Is it a JAE injection molded stock? Nope. But it also cost about a third of a JAE. I love this one.

Next time your above the 49th I have another one with your name on it you can have. Now as far as you BUG...
Well that's just a low blow.
:kickInTheNuts:
Why didn't you get the Kel Tec P32?
11 ounces loaded and holds 7+1 rounds?

Or were you just missing a revolver in your collection?

Nice looking rifle, I'd prefer the stock to be all black instead. It looks to be built really well, just the camo paint doesn't really float my boat.

i wish i had a BUG ..... but yours is so much better cuz you actually get to carry it ;)

though i'm not currently accepting orders for stocks, if you like what you see in the link in my other post and want more info, or want to be put on a list for when i do start taking orders, email me, I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have.

7 rounds of .357 has a little (lot) more stopping power than 8 rounds of .32

I already have a Walther PPK in .380

I had an opportunity through a family member who needed to get rid of this one

Revolvers need love too. (Actually I still have my Ruger Security Six but it is a lot bigger and a lot heavier.)

:)
