My new (to me) .22 Hornet!

I was at the Crean Hill Gun Show today and picked up this beauty. I've always wanted a .22 Hornet and bought the best. I even managed to get a set of rings with it. It's a Brno ZK 465 made in 1949.

Yes, those are beautiful rifles. I almost bought one a few years ago, didn't have the money at that time.

Note that those rifles typically have .223" bores, not the more common .224" of rifles today.
 
I once had it's slightly older sister and she was good looking, also!
If you are reloading, they are critical on pressure, plus they will only stablize light bullets, due to the rifling twist.
 
Don't lose the magazine as they are almost impossible to find...i remember a rifle a year back going for $300 because the owner couldn't locate a mag.....Harold

So do the current CZ Hornets.

Not worth worrying about. Try any ammo that will chamber, choose the accurate one over the one with the .223 bullets.

Aha, you were the so & so I saw walking away with it.
