My new to me addition !

Just picked up a Remington 870 Wingmaster. 30" barrel 2 3/4 Full choke. I found a barrel date stamp of M X W Q which I believed the first to be the verifiers stamp and then the three letter pre 50's code. But I emailed Remington the serial number and they responded back with in 20 minutes that it was manufactured in 1972. She has some scrapes and bangs but functions flawless. I think I stole it at $150.00 which included a shell belt and cleaning kit. What do you guys think?

Well worth 150. The receiver may be 72 if rem said it was but the wood on that gun is prior to 1959 . The forearm was notched in that standard grade model in 59.

See I was thinking that too with the 3 digit date code maybe somebody peiced it together at some point
