This pistol is a basic Tokarev design chambered for the 9mm Luger with wrap around grips and the addition of a safety catch on the left side of the frame. There is not much information on them. Fifteen thousands were reportedly manufactured by Fémaru in Hungary for Egypt but apparently most were sold commercially. Some are marked on the left side of the slide: TOKAGYPT 58 Made in Hungary on the first line and Cal 9mm Para. FÉG 1958 with the Egyptian crest in the middle of the markings. This is not the case with mine, it is marked: PARABELLUM Cal. 9mm only.

I took it home 2 days ago and and it is a little too cold for my sensitive fingers to go shooting this week. Will give a range report when I do.

mine has all the markings on the left side as stated and no markings on the right side....the grips are brown.... hard to tell what color your grips are....other than that shoots well but like every other Tokarev and any and all variants each one shoots differently

The Number 12 on your slide catch is marked the same as my Hungarian Super 12 however the slide markings are different....PM me and I can send pics to your phone

Range report

I finally made it to the range and fired 150 of my124 grains reloads. The pistol functioned as advertised but with 2 stovepipes on ejection. It is comfortable to shoot and fairly accurate in my unstable hand. As mentioned by Triaq, the safety is kind of awkward but it functions on mine.
