My new tool: Savage 93R17BTVS 17HMR!

Thats a very nice rifle imo. I would just love to get one of those. Under $500 and it's sweet. What scope did you end up putting on that rifle?

They are both middle of the road optics. It wasn't as clear/bright as the Loupold I looked through at the same time. It is still great in my opinion. I'll try and get a pic through it on my next midnight critter mission. The illuminted reticle really helps!

Maybe one of our sasquatch's from Manitoba headed east on a walkabout. It's mating season for them as they have a spring rut. Be careful out there in the dark and stay clean shaven so he does think your a potential mate. :)

everyone knows that sasquatch and bigfoot both live in BC cause they like kokanee

oh and on the possiblity of it being a couger they released one improperly in that area a few months ago because the people who released it didn't wanna drive the oredered 16 hours so it might be

Not Harris, it's called Rock Steady or Rock Mount or something like that (Harris Copy).

It sure feels about 1.5lbs, but not sure exactly what the lowest setting is.

I have the same gun and after 3 different attempts a few months apart each at lowereing the trigger to it's lowest possible setting, with a good trigger scale, the lowest I can come up with is 2 lbs. 2 oz.
That's probably low enough for a gun that see's the field and punches paper.

When I bought it I asked for it to be set to the lightest it could be. On my receipt it says "one coil cut from AccuTrigger spring. Now 5oz under minimum. New spring provided if you ever want to go back."

Not sure how many springs are in there, but it seems that might get you lighter safely.

Good info Jamie, thanks, I just may give it another try.

I have seen people cut springs on CZ's and although it did lighten the trigger, it also introduced creep, so there might be a tradeoff.
