My new toy, impractical AR haters beware (new pics added)

So I came across some AR parts for a good price and put this together.

Keyhole marked slickside upper, 6.5 inch SPEX stainless barrel with Allen Gunworks linear comp, NEA full auto BCG, DPMS charge handle. Just using my PWS lower from my 300 Blackout.

I was expecting it to be much louder but the Linear comp really helped push the noise away from the firing line.

Its really cool but a lil small for my tastes, Id be worried it would break if i used it as a blunt force tool. Its so small you might as well use a pistol

Probably tougher than a regular length AR since it's got less leverage, plus that barrel is rather thick under the handguard. I don't use my rifles as baseball bats or pry bars so I'm not really worried about it.
I think technically is is a pistol but it has a lot more power and makes more noise.

I'm not sure how long I'll keep it but for now it's a fun little toy.
 
It is really cool, I'm sure it is strong as you said as there would be less force over its length, you need those teeth on the front of the muzzle break too, and a K-bar bayonet and your set :p

And that front grip without the rails is really nice looking, is the checkering good, like when you sweat still grips nice? I like that solid look

I'd be at a serious disadvantage in a bayonet fight with this thing :)

The checkering is pretty good, Haven't shot it enough yet to know if it is grippy when sweaty. It was easy to hold onto when it was doubling and trippling yesterday at the range. Brought it home and figured out the problem though so it won't be doing that any more.

I should try it with my Rainier Arms mini comp, that thing throws fireballs to the sides when it's on an 18.5 inch. It would be ridiculous on this little toy. It was so loud on my 12 inch that I don't dare put it on this one though.

oh man, I really like that.
My 14.5" needs some more fireball to it.

My device was designed to throw the flash and blast forward so it is surprisingly nice to shoot .... other than going blind from the massive fire ball from each shot. :D

It works great on a 145" as well.

I am working on getting them made in quantity for sale.

Are you kidding? What is impractical about that? To me, that is a 100% practical minimal rifle. I love the concept too: put a rifle in the smallest, handiest, most ergonomical package you can - and stuff like this results! If I were in the urban variety of the brown stuff I would LOVE a rifle like that.

The only gripe I might have would be the magnifier. Is that beast accurate enough to justify it, CR5? If so I might consider a true scope instead - but that is just me picking the fly chit out of the pepper. Any gun you make like this has to be tailored to its user and if it makes you a better shot then you really have no choice. I would love to see a range report that would include accuracy testing off the bench if you are so inclined.
