I went to the Calgary gun show a couple of weeks ago. Most stuff was over priced there. But I found this Savage Mark II BSEV at Wholesale Sports on sale for $559 so I picked it up. Mounted a Nikon Prostaff Target EFR 3-9x40 on it. Wow what an accurate set up for a fairly budget price. I am seriously impressed with this rifle. I like it better than my 10/22 target.

Nice rifle !

I have the "Big Brother"... 22wmr

I did a pillar job on it yesterday, and I'm waiting for the JB Weld to setup a bit more before doing the action/stock part.

* the target is @ 105yds (Nikon 1200s Rangefinder), shooting off a 3ft high tree stump while sitting in a lawn-chair. Top #1 & #2 shots were "sighters", just getting the new scope on paper.

The gun will make the 1/2" challenge. The shooter? Not so much. Lol.

The bottom group is from this rifle at 25 yards. For my skill set that's pretty good.

Those are groups we'd like to see at 50 yards :) Practice practice! You've got a nice rig to help you get there now.
