While I appreciate that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think the boys at Rocky Mountain Rifles really knocked this build out of the park for me. It's a 375 H&H built on a Defiance action with a custom painted McMillan stock. I put a Zeiss Duralyt 1.2-5x36 scope with lighted reticle on it. Now to get out this week and shoot it!

That looks great Sheephunter.... I'm generally not a fan of "different" paint jobs, but that zebra job looks really really good. Congrats

Wow! I'm glad you didn't describe that in your thread title, 'cuz I doubt that I would have even opened it...and I would have missed out on seeing that cool gun! Beautiful (in a weird kind of way) and the cartridge choice is the icing on the cake.

I like it alot. Tim and Rod have built me some nice firearms in the past. Looks like that they haven't lost their touch. Let us know how it shoots.

I actually talked to gunsmith at Rockymountain Rifles week back, and it would take about 5-6 months and one i wanted to build, it came out around $5000 dollars without a scope. How much did your rifle package cost if you dont mind me asking? because i would liketo build another Field version of what i just built .

This was my build with Weatherby Mark V action with custom built Krieger barrel and Titanium Mcmillan stock, jewell trig and so on that i built it from american gunsmith.
It looks like a benchrest but it only weights 9lb with the scope. built a fusion with tactical style but for hunting. The scope is Huskemaw blue diamond that i am kind of testing it out. when all the snow melts i'll take it up the mountain for 1000+yard shooting see how it performs.

Haven't got the final bill yet but because the paint job was so specialized, I suspect right in that same neighbourhood.

Can you tell us what the intended use is, and why you chose the particular features / combination.

Hope to get to Africa for cape buff in 2013 so that was the inspiration for the build although I just sold my 375 last year so truthfully I just really needed a new one...lol

I debated long and hard regarding crf and push feed and ended up going Defiance push feed just because I really like their action and it is bombproof. The McMillan stock was a no brainer and I really like the style for this rifle. The paint job and the fluting are just because..lol The scope seems a perfect fit for a dangerous game rifle.

That is a great looking rifle. Are you planning on shooting factory loads or reload your own? What bullet and weight are you thinking for the buffalo? Congrats again on a superb finished product.
