pretty "plain" looking rig, but I'm a big fan of simple. trigger breaks cleanly @ a speculated 1.5ish pounds, rembo did a nice job :D rifle balences well over the bipod and soaks up what little recoil there is very well, you can, more or less, spot your hits. accuracy was impressive, so far no handloading, but burned through 50 rounds of winchester whitebox factory fodder. groups were all less then an inch, averaging about .5", with best group of the session being...... 0.342"

I think she's a keeper! :dancingbanana:

Well if She shoots that "Whitebox" stuff that good I'd say so......;)
Nice Rig:cool:

dang....I knew I shoulda shot it afore I sold it........can't remember doing the trigger on that one.....didn't think I had it long enough.......glad to see it's a shooter.....

I've had similiar success with the 40 rnd white box Win ammo....both my 223 Remmies shoot it very well with the odd three shot group going about 1/2".......I'm getting tired of reloading.....

Yeah Phib... That is a nice neat varmint package.
What you gonna do about the viscious recoil?:p

I don't know, was thinking of having it rechambered, you know, to one of those new fangled short fat cartidges. they reduce felt recoil you see.... :D

Mag-xtender is available through midwayusa, was <$20 and is mad in short and long actions. you just tap the retaining pin out and put it in place of the normal floorplate. nice little system.

Cariboo_Kid: I have 150rnds loaded for my .450, full-power 350gr FN's. find me a nice gopher patch around willy's puddle and I'll let you watch ;)

yes Dave, i'll try to get a real scope down the road. surprisingly nice scope for under $300. 10x is more then enough for sub-300m gophers.

If it was mine being a varmint/target rig and if it shot that good, I might just spend the money on el cheapo white box instead of dies :shotgun:

Nice rig

yeah, but whitebox ammo is a 45gr JHP with a really ####ty BC. by handloading I can use a 55gr BT and get far better long range preformance. not to mention I've never met a rifle yet that couldn't shoot better with handloads. posted group is best of the day, averages were 1/2", sure I can improve on that.
