My new walther - RANGE REPORT IS READY!

I ordered a P1 from Tradex and it came today. I absolutely love it! I know that the ad SAYS 'very good to excellent' but I was still expecting something that looked used, ya know?
I open it up and it's inside this (I swear) unused flap holster. So I pull it out and give it the once over...and, initially, I can't find any wear!! the slide rails are pristine, the bore is shiny and crisp, there is no holster wear. The only thing I eventually find is a faint line down the backs of the magazine and an even fainter one on the top of the followers.
There are a few light marks in the parkerized type finish but they look more like they are from storage. It almost looks like a new pistol.
I've wanted one of these since I was a kid watching The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Where else are you going to get what looks like a new Walther for 299.00?

Try it with S&B 124 grain FMJ. Actually anything European, CIP pressures are higher than SAAMI limits. Anything NATO should work fine too.

Soon as I get time to get to the range...

WWII design military/police pistol; you can pretty much bet it's not going to feed any kind of hollow point.
I'll try a few types of ammo.
I know that the luger was famous for jamming if the round was at all out of spec. We'll have to see if its replacement is as finicky.

I called him a few times on this purchase (to get a tracking number) and he was always friendly and patient with me. I'd give Tradex five stars for their service.

Interesting...

I wanted to have a look at the loaded chamber indicator so I put a couple of dummy rounds in it and cycled them through. First time I ejected was a WTF; the round went left! Yeah the extractor is on the left and the ejector on the right so it ejects left. Not what we've come to expect from semi auto pistols.

I got one from them a couple of weeks ago. It was made in 1964 and looks very slightly used but the bore is sparkling. The magazines look well used though. I also got the $8 cleaning kit just because it was cheap and looks neat. I haven't shot it yet, still waiting for my LTATT

Sorry... me bad, I missed the kit part. You sure your first post included "kit" in the verbage?

I kicked myself for not getting one when I ordered my P1, and forgot again when I ordered my TT33, and forgot a third time when I purchased the 44 C&B! Soooo what all comes in the cleaning kit, looks kind of Koool?
