Well here it is, it arrived this morning. It's a Tikka M695 in 458win mag. Comes with Bevan King stainless barrel, Pachmeyer Decerator pad. I love the grain on the stock. I'm going to go try it out this afternoon :D Here's a pic

Holy Hell, I never even knew that Tikka made a 458 win mag! :eek:

It also says it's a King barrel. I doubt Sako is importing those babys to screw onto Tikkas. It's an easy build though. Just take a 300 WM, unscrew the barrel and toss it in the slough. Then chamber and fit a 458 barrel and voila...458WM.

That looks like a nice bear smacking rig for the west coast. Keep a close eye on it or Gatehouse or bonecollector may have it snuck out to clobber yogi.

Did you have it built or buy it already done?

Well I just got back from our local "range" up here in the middle of no where, aka the dump lol. I was quite nervous at first because so far the biggest cal. I've shot has been a .270win but after taking that first shot I was hooked. The gun is amazing and is surprisingly easy hold on target. I'm in love :D
 
I actually am still in the market for a scout style scope. I put up a wtb ad for one in the ee forums but no one has yet to reply. As for the cycling, this gun is amazing. The action is silky smooth. Absolutely no complaints on this purchase at all. Oh, and just a bit of a side note to those who might be curious, this gun will never be for sale. Sorry...
 
To be honest 1899, I'm not really sure if it has been glass bedded. All I know is that I love it. You would have to ask bcwill about that detail.
