Fusion firearms has tons of 1911 stuff, and they ship no problem. Everything I have ordered from them I have received in about a week. I am in the process of completely gutting mine including bobtailing which they also have in stock

Well, it's been a while.

I have been busy with stuff.
Including the bobtail.

Just picked it up from Dlask. He did a great job.
I am just waiting for the main spring housing to show up, then I will hopefully have found time for all the smoothing I plan on doing.

Have you considered turning the front serrations into HiPower cuts? - I saw a picture of a Norc that had that done (from the Philippines) and it looked very cool, it would certainly go with a carry bevel. Damn - now I'm thinking of doing a build up, you know, you sir, suck! (JK)

Not a bad idea, it would aid in reholstering.
However, I wonder about the bushing. How would that work?
Might make it too thin on the sides.

Re-blue,Parkerize,Parkerize and then GunPaint, GunPaint,Chromed,Nickled or I guess if a guy didn't care about the bare steel look he could wax it or just keep it well oiled.......bottom line. It will need a refinish of some sort.

Some progress:

Spent some time with the dremel polishing it up.
It's at the chromer now getting shiny. I decided to GO with chrome to get a two tone.
The frame will be polished as nicely, then blued.

The controls, and back strap safety are getting media blasted, and chromed to a matt finish.
MSH is staying blued.
