my norc m4 wont work with any aftermarket BCGs or 22 conv kits

Any word from Lever Arms?

i tried a CMMG 22 conv bolt , YHM bcg and a CMMG bcg none fit they wont go into battery and are way to tight in the receiver but they work fine on my friends norc m4 ??? the factory bcg works fine in the rifle i have over 500 rounds through it no hickups. other uppers and lowers fit fine no issues there. far as i know the only thing that is not interchangeable with other ARs is the front hand guard , mine must be out of wack a bit.

BCviking,

Any update on the issues with your Norc M4 and the CMMG kit? Have you contacted Lever Arms? If so, are they going to help you out and make it right?

Cheers,

I believe there are a few Chicom M4 variations out there.

The first batch, ingraved CQ triangle with military uppers and M16 BCG were rough and looser in tolerance. Exterior were coated with paint over the rough anodizing. These take the .22 bolts just fine.

Then later 2 more batches came in.

One were marked Norinco and did not have the CQ triangle marking.
The other were marked CQ.
Both of these had properly anodized receivers, markings were laser engraved. These were not military contract overuns and they came with a AR15 BCG.

I suspect you have the latest commericial export laser engraved ones?
If so it could be a bit tight as it is not exactly to spec as they made them tighter than required.

Is it only the latest batch of commercial export laser engraved ones that are tight? What are the markings on those rifles? How can you tell the difference?

I have the CMMG .22 kit in mine and it works fine, 2000 rnds no jams.today I went shooting with my buddy who has a DPMS and guess what... neither of us had any jams. I laugh at people who ride the brand name wagon like they are the smartest people because of what they bought. You guys are idiots. I swapped bolt and carrier , uppers, lowers and buffer springs and they all swap easily. I dont care what you buy you get lemons, remember all the Toyota recalls last year? And those are the most reliable vehicles made, how could that happen? Do you think your AR will outlast an SKS? Then again what does that matter? These forums should be about helping each other out and not being retards.

What kind of ammo are you using. I'm having issues but may be using wrong ammo.
