I bought my first AR a while back, and got around to making some reloads for it and have got it out to the range a couple times now. I rolled some 75gr Hornady Amax behind IMR4895, I did ladder testing with 22.5,23,23.5, 23.8 and it got more accurate as the grain weight went up. I only went up to 23.8 as I didnt want to make some I wouldnt use in case of pressure or whatever else. It started out at about 1.5 MOA just off sand bags on the bench, and the 23.5 and 23.8 got down sub MOA. One group was about half inch. I am going to roll up some with 24 and slightly above in .2 increments until I find the perfect load. Next time I am out I will take some pics of the targets, I didnt think of it because the good groups were mixed in with the bad. Anyways enough talking, I will update this post next time I goto the range, here are some pics.
And to anyone who cares, here is a pic of my almost complete M305 build that I got off M14doc. It has a criterion barrel, unitized gas system, tuned trigger, headspacing and all tuned up by him. I just need to get a muzzle brake and a stock and she's ready to roll, I am excited to get this one going. Doesnt look like much in the pic, but just thought I'd throw it in here for fun.
