I think ,most guys on here take those questions as dedicated rigs as they own mulitple rifles capable of killing all of the above, I know I do. I tend to think of a dedicated moose/elk rifle starting a 300 win mag while guns to be used for just deer can be less powerful. For years when I carried tags including an elk or moose I hunted with a 300 loaded with TSX bullets, killed lots of deer at the same time. When all i had left was whitetail tags I used a 260 rem and a 308.
