This all started 10 years ago when I saw a nicely threaded barrel here on CGN. I knew I always wanted to build something that would both look and feel like an uncommon but full-size rifle. The front site base/bayonet mount was the tipping point. I believe that a member here, Brobee was responsible for making those. It takes a M14 front sight and an M16 bayonet. I tried to revive an old, federal arms side folder that had been cut, but I still haven’t managed. When a friend (Red), sent me a picture of the Samson stock, I knew I had to have it. The rear sight is a Williams, and the trigger, a Ruger BX.
I can finally allow myself to say, “I love it, when a plan comes together!“

Awesome~I'm just putting an order together for IRG, did you get your stock directly? If so, mind sharing your landed cost? (here or by PM) If you ordered direct, how long did it take...and any duty when it entered Canada?

I'm really not a 10/22 fan, and I've slagged them here on CGN a number of times. Well, eating those words today...as I credit the A-Team for a good deal of my fascination with firearms. As a 22LR gunnut...it's a must-have accessory. Guess I gotta put something into the thing. :)

That’s a beauty, the bayonet is icing on the cake. I’ve never been a 10/22 guy but I wouldn’t think twice about having one that looks as nice as that, how’s it shoot? Would make a fun small game getter.

haha..Same. 10/22 was one of the 1st .22's I got. Yeah, I mean, over the years....mehh~. But with this...I'm all about YESS Hannibal!

Goddamn it’s a beaut! Something about the old schools lines of wood stocked firearms with mixed in modern steel style stocks makes me smile!

That is a super-cool rig!! Thrilled to see one of those front sight blocks on a gun that’s still able to go have some range and outside fun.

Cheers!

Brobee

You are aware that they never-ever hit the guys that they were shooting at? And yes, the Mini14 I had was indeed that bad accuracy wise. Worst rifle I ever owned.

That is too cool. I had no idea Samson was making them for the 10/22 as well. I always wanted a stainless Mini-30 with side folder.
