When I was 12 yrs I wanted a cap & ball bad , got a CIL 125 instead .

Never did get a muzzel loader.

Yours is an xlnt group .

I once owned a U.S. Model 1816, 1828 dated Evans Contract. Nice lookin flintlock. Historically would be US/Mexico War and US Civil War displays.

Back in the early 1960s I owned a beautiful flintlock pistol.
In 1966 I took off to Europe for two years and when I came back my Father had traded it to a dealer for a new P.38 pistol with a .22 cal. conversion.
That P.38 ended up being traded for the Sharps and Spencer carbines (along with a lot of other stuff back in 1990)

was this a good trade.

I have no idea, but I know the Portuguese 1941 Mausers go for a good buck nowadays, $7000 and up.

I have no idea what they are worth today.
I paid $850 on March 7 2004 at the Montreal gun show.
The trade was made on April 22 2017 in the parking lot of the Walmart store in Kingston Ontario.

$850 for a Portuguese Mauser in 2004 was a good deal.

I guess in was at the gun show in Longueuil, I loved that show when I still lived in Quebec.
