So I know to some its not much but I like it...I have two types of ammo to test out next week Sellier & Bellot surplus and some Romania surplus I got couple years ago...
once cleaned up as it was packaged in grease I did notice some tooling marks on inside area but you don't see it untill you take it apart and the top slide isn't as shinny glossy as the bottom frame areas...no biggie ...for $299 for a SA/DA with two mags that I'm told are double stack mags not sure but they are thicker then my 1911 it's nice...can't wait to see how it holds up at the range.
The grips are huge but later may pick up some replacement grips later but for now I'm going to shoot the crap out of it and see how it handles it
Glenn.

Hey
crowbar?....don't get the joke...
I like to buy cheap guns so I can have many ...I don't compete nor shall I so besides having bragging rights to say look I have a big name on the side of my gun...if it loads and shoots what so bad...I buy to shoot not to have them sit on a shelf and collect dust...
anyways
Mags are not yet available but as soon as they are I'll be ordering four or so..
range report well if all goes well Im off to Urban Tactical on wed morning and going to shoot the crap out of it..lol
Glenn.

Well so far it's not snowing nor freezing rain outside so I'm off to Urban Tactical for open and gonna run this P762 through a few hundred rounds...have both my romanian surplus and my sellier surplus...also bringing my Tokarev to see if it functions differently with other ammo.
Can't wait

Ok guys
well back from the day at the range and spent about 3 hours shooting...I had done some work on my 10/22 and sks and needed to confirm all working well and sighting in..
Now for my experience with the P762

first two mags first ever 16 rounds put through the gun...OMG I'm inlove ...I know it's now a sig so don't start...for $300 bucks this thing is awsome...even had couple of the employees fire it and couldn't believe it shoots 7.62x25 and not 9mm
I shot probably about just under 200 rounds and the gun ran amazing I'll list a couple of things though

1- this gun and my tokarev don't like the romanian surplus ammo...twice the first round of a 8 went down range and casing didn't eject and actually jammed the gun totally ..I dropped mag and counted 7 rounds as I only put 8 from stripper clip and the gun wouldn't slide at all. Called over range officer and even he was shocked ....took a cleaning rod from sks and rammed it down barrel to free it...yes no live round in chamber as I counted earlier...anyways what had happened was romanian ammo fired then I guess the ends expanded still in barrel clamping itself but the extractor had the back of the casing aswell so the slide couldn't move at all...first for me..kept shooting after field strip and lube and three mags later it did it again so same thing it cleared it...
2. decided to test ...50 rounds of new ammo I bought Sellier & Bellot surplus and perfect shooting ..well not my aim..lol
3. tested out my tokarev with romanian and same thing as before slide would jam as I described in other posts...try sellier surplus and four mags fed perfectly and gun shot amazing...not my aim again..lol
result is this gun for the price is dam good and I can't wait to get more mags
The trigger pull non cocked is horrible but once it's cocked wow not bad..mags dropped nicely
I checked with lady behind counter this morning when I got to Urban Tactical and they allowed me to test some holsters...extremely nice and very helpful even got one of the guys from the back to come out and give his opinions.

Black hawk holster without finger lock fit perfectly

this is the two types of ammo the non coated is what is working the coated ammo SUCKS
I still have half a crate of this stuff...
the gun didn't get jammed first , took some time so I'd say out of say 80 rounds it jammed twice so I'll use it or sell it but won't buy it again.
Ran into couple of CGN's very nice bunch of guys, was nice to see you
anyways I'm rambling
any questions let me know
Glenn.

I want to see if it's possible to adjust the trigger..or replace it its too far forward so I'll be doing some work on it later on for now I'm going back on Monday to shoot..even bringing a new shooter with me to see if he gets the bug and who knows maybe get his rpal later...
I wonder if any of the sig P226 parts would fit I've seen the grips do from another post but if someone is able to test out the trigger parts and report that would be great..the only thing I'd change on this gun is the DA trigger pull so if I can adjust it or swap it out that would be great.
Glenn.

I would be interested to see if Sig's Short Trigger fits the P762 and if it makes much of a difference. If I get the time I'll strip my P226 and P762 and compare parts.

If you or anyone could that would be so great.
I'd like to use this gun in my black badge in the coming new year...but the DA is awful and plus I'm cheap so Im not going to purchase a sig ...not that I wouldn't love too....
anyways keep me/us posted and pics if you do..thanks
Glenn.

Hey guys
well I sent an email to wolverine to ask if the spring set they sell may possibly fit the P762
anyways went to the range on Monday morning and took a new shooter with me....yeppie got another one hooked on shooting and may go get his RPAL....
anyways
I had that coated ammo and again it jammed up my P762 after two mags so I talked to one of the guys at the range and last week I had given him some rounds to try in his tok and he wanted more so I had half a crate in my trunk and traded the ammo for some 45acp...I have the copper washed and put another 200 rounds without one feed jam nor anything...looking at some sig grips to replace the huge wrap around grips they put
Basically the only thing I need to change is the trigger pull for DA and wait for extra mags to come in..

Hey
If your having trouble with the same type of ammo grab some of the copper washed stuff from one of our sponsors here and your gun/guns will thank you..
Glenn.

I just noticed the manual there, that says PX-3. Did a little research, apparently Norinco released these to Pakistan at least a year before we got them (which would make sense, a lot of TT33s in Pakistan).
