My PAL was issued and completed June 8th online and its now June 29th!! still nothing is showing up in the mail. How long have people waited around here for the darn thing to come after your status changed online?? iv called several times and they just tell to wait it can take up to four weeks...

I sent my renewal forms in via registered mail, it arrived in NB on the 14th of June, got my PAL in 15days to my door.I have a poll going on this, some have waited up to 3 months or more to get their PALS

Well if its sent via registered mail, it has to be signed for at the office, so they can't say it was not sent, plus the tracking code helps too, plus the recite you get from the post office is good for any court of law.

If you have to, tell them to re-issue it. When mine was issued, it got lost in the mail. I called 2 weeks after it was supposedly issued to tell them it hadn't yet arrived, but they kept telling me that it was in the mail. After a week of calling and getting the run around, I finally told them up front that there was no way in hell a piece of mail takes 3 weeks to go from one part on New Brunswick to another, and demanded they issue another one. She told me in a rather snotty tone that they would do it, but if the original showed up, it would be null and void. Funny thing is, it's been 2 1/2 years and the original still hasn't arrived, so exactly who was right?

EDIT: I didn't see your post where you said they re-issued it.

I've never had any problems with any transfers being held up, so I don't think they red flag you if you gave plenty of time for it to arrive and it didn't. After all, Canada Post lost it, not you.

i was in the same situation, basically after two weeks were up, wait another week, blah blah... they should send them registered mail... after all it is a firearms license!!

haha as if...registered mail makes too much sense

iirc it was about 2 weeks from approval to my door. the rcmp have sent me all kinds of documents since then, registrations, notice of transfers, etc, and all of them have arrived within a few days of issue.

be patient, it'll show =)

makes me wonder if there are not anti gun people working for the CFC, and they, when they can, deliberately mess things up , to cause us nothing but frustration etc. Plus prove it, and when ones licence expires because of them, its not their fault etc.
