My Pistol Collection to date

My list so far:

Norc 1911 Govt
Norc 1911 Police ("chrome")
Ruger SR9 stainless
TT33 (pre-war)
M&P9
M&P22
Norc P762 (Tokarev)

The Tokarev's grips cracked on me and the slide stop is crap (will snap shut just by looking at it, literally). Guess that's the risk you take with a gun made over 70 years ago. I feel like this may be the most unsafe semi-auto in the world lol.
The 1911 Govt is not a great feeling gun either, rough trigger and a very loose grip safety. But it goes boom every time.

The others are great. Even the Norc Police model is a beauty, and for $299 it's a no-brainer - perfect for me.

The M&P's have been absolutely brilliant. Can't recommend them highly enough. Smooth, quality feel, easy take-down, and they look great. Plus... they work.

A REAL 1911 .... Colt 1911 series 70

Ok. Read up on the CZ75 and bought the SP01- Shadow from wolverine. It coming next month. I am starting IPSC this summer. Got my black badge last year.

What changes would you recommend. I saw some stuff at Cajun Gunworks and Dlask. What options are useful to stay within IPSC production.

ok I will jump in here, handguns currently in the safe:

Ruger mark II government target model .22
Ruger Mark III competition model .22
Beretta 92FS blued 9mm
Browning Hi power (Capitan model)9mm
Browning Hi power Mark 1* (9mm)
Ruger Sr 1911 (.45)
S&W 686 revolver in .357 magnum

Hmmm what to get next ????

So true!

I never thought I'd like revolvers, after getting my S&w 17-3, they're all I think about!!

Well then, now you need a nice model 19 or two. A 617, a set of Webleys and a 1860 army in 45 Colt.

Then you will be revolvertised, and can throw those silly auto's away.

I just got the PPQ. Love the trigger. I am a sucker for Long slide / barrel guns. The G34 is my only Glock and I used it for my IPSC qualification. It was not very ergonomic at all. I got pretty nasty cut every time I used it at the base of my thumb. Had to use duct tape for my ipsc. THEVPROBLEM GOT SOLVED AFTER I USED THE BEAVER TAIL.

PPQ looks like much more refined gun though.

I agree with you for sure on the long slide. That extra muzzle weight really makes a difference.

Having said that, in response to your original question, given your preference for long slide, and the fact that you've just ordered a p226

That's what I've been looking at.

oh man I love the X-five... I got my NP-22 because I wanted to at least start shooting the 2226, and the x-five is just too much money for now...

X3.

Soooooo much fun. So human. So romantic.

Everyone needs a revolver in .357 ...to be followed by a .44, a .22 then a .45lc followed by black powder cap and ball followed by a kentucky flintlock followed by ...
