Just wanted to share this with the community since it's been in the works for a long time. I've been thinking of the Langdon Tactical Elite RDO Beretta ever since they first came out last year. Getting one up here was another story. Nobody seems to import LTT stuff directly, so I would have to use an importer like IRG or ######, but I couldn't justify the cost of a complete pistol. Instead, I set out to build a "poor man's" version.

Importing the RDO slide was going to take the longest and cost the most, so I got started on that right away. I placed an order with @zt3ch Armory but I just missed their import window, meaning I'd have to wait several months for the slide to arrive. This did give me plenty of time to get the other build components, so it wasn't the end of the world. I opted to upgrade the trigger with the (surprisingly affordable) Beretta Xtreme-S trigger kit, which replaced nearly all the trigger components and cost 1/2 to 2/3 of an average Glock trigger kit. On top of that, it was a factory Beretta kit and still cost far less than upgrading individual parts by using Wilson or LTT components. The only problem was that nobody in Canada had any in stock. I ended up purchasing the kit from a gun store in Italy (Brignoli Armi) just down the street from the Beretta factory. They shipped it here with no issues and the shipping / duties were quite reasonable - it was actually cheaper than trying to get the kit from Beretta USA. I sourced the rest of my parts from other CGN members and Stoeger Canada.

Now that it's finally here and assembled, I am blown away with the fit and feel of this package. The mounting plate has an integrated suppressor-height rear sight, is secured with 3 screws and is dovetailed into the slide. The screws came loctited and had witness marks from LTT. The package also included different height screws for RMR or Holosun optics, some Vibra-tite and a QR code to an installation video on YouTube. I haven't managed to get to the range just yet but this will become my new competition blaster. I'll try to upload more pictures when I have some time.

Parts List:

  • Beretta M9A1 base gun
  • Beretta Xtreme-S trigger kit
  • Beretta Extended serrated magazine button
  • Lok Veloce FDE grip panels
  • Wilson Combat 92 Shok-Buff
  • Langdon Tactical Elite RDO slide
  • Holosun HS407C Gen2

Very nice! That’s exactly what I would like in a Beretta. I was thinking of using a M9A4 and getting a few LTT parts to make something similar. How long did it take to get the LTT slide?

Well when I placed the order with A ##### Armory, the slide was actually in stock, but I had just missed their import window by a week or so. I had to wait about 3.5 months for the next window but the process was painless.

I was a little annoyed when Beretta dropped the M9A4 RDO as I was waiting for my LTT slide (since it basically does the same thing). However, the LTT RDO slide allows the optic to sit lower and looks 'cleaner' in my opinion. And the LTT slide already comes with 1/3 suppressor sights, so I was happy with that.

Oh man, that turned out nice! My perfect Beretta is basically an FS or A1 with LOK grips and a D spring - otherwise they are good to go. But that's a real nice outcome!

This is a very nice looking blaster. I have always thought that mini red dots look odd on Beretta 92's but this one pulls it off quite nicely.
I am in the market for a Beretta as my next pistol purchase. I and stuck between the 92x Centurion and the LTT.
What are you using for a holster?

Thanks! I finally took it to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through it. It is a tack driver and shoots extremely soft. I seem to be able to track the dot much better than other RDS equipped pistols that I've shot so far. Very happy with the setup so far.

Holster wise I'm just using a basic BladeTech for the time being. When I have a bit more money I will probably get a new one made by Solely.
