I just finally got my .308 reloading components , ive had the dies for a while , i bought them used . i just got everything setup and its starting to test my patience..

I have adjusted the die according to the specifications in both my reloading manual and the die instructions . I lubed the case and the case neck prior to attempt to resize , the primer came out fine , the case came out fine but something after this process wont allow me to fit my case trimmer inside the neck after i resize .. WHAT IN THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG .. the case length gauge wont even go into the case mouth ..

Any suggestions are helpful..
 
What do your calipers say the inside case mouth diameter after resizing is?
What is the diameter of your resizing button in the die?
Can you seat a bullet without too much force?
 
What case trimer are you using? I had the same issue once with a Lee trimmer and received a new one in the mail after emailing Lee customer support. New one worked fine. the old one was way too thick.
 
Case length gauge is .304
Unsized neck is .308
Resized neck is .304
Expander ball is also .304 but wont go back into the case after i run the case through it ?

sorry for changing the #'s around had to rezero my caliper .

The case length gauge will go into a fired , but unsized case perfectly fine with more than enough room , a projectile will sit perfectly in the resized case ready for seating just fine .

There is some resistance when pull the case back out is this normal ?
