This is my rifle for shooting indoors (10m) all winter. It's a.177 and is registered ( over 500 fps). It's a Co2 gun and I get 60 full power shots out of the 2 cartridges. I find Co2 more convient than a break barrel then shooting prone and off my bench rest. The best pellets in this gun are the H&N Final Match and Beeman both flat point

C02 not so good for hunting is cold weather but for paper they're fine.Personally I don't like to continually pay to shoot other than ammo...............They are good guns though from what I've read elsewhere.................22 for hunting larger edibles.exception is headshot rabbits were cal don't matter............Harold

You're right about thr Co2 and cold weather, but I only shoot indoors with my QB and as far as cost goes..I figure a shooting session on every Sunday morning cost me about $4.90..which works out to $3.20 for the Co2 ( 4 cart.x $0.80) and $1.70 for an X large Tim Horton's coffee. That's a hell of a lot cheaper than shooting my 308's .

You can always get a QB79 and run it off regulated HPA, then it doesn't care how cold it is! QBs are all great guns, I think I might just have to get one someday.

I think they one of the best value around..price wise all wood and metal except for the barrel band , which you can change for a metal one.if you want .I have a friend who shoots with me sunday morning who shoots long range during the summer and comes winter, he installs on his stock QB his Centra front and rear sights, an ajustable cheek piece, his hand stop and sling, than he shoots prone on his shooting mat wearing his leather shooting jacket, shooting cap, in other words , he is set up just like in summer but shoots .177 pellets instead of 155gr .308's. It's a great way to practice...!!! We both installed muzzle brakes on our QB's , looks great but mostly to lenghten our sight radius

Best place to get a Qb78 is the canadian airgun forum. They are common in the for sale section. There is one right now with a .30 caliber barrel tricked out that will go through 3/4 inch plywood at 20 yards for 250 dollars.

As mentioned you can get different models of QB's from "Sniper" at the canadian airgun forum . I bought the basic model and a added on the stock you see in the pic and the sights. But I think there is a target model available maybe the QB 79...not sure!!

Qb78

Nice Rifle Bob, Thanks for posting it.
I'd like to see a pic of your backstop, what are you useing as a backstop? Did you do the mods yourself? Nice work.

I did the mods myself, which was quite simple, just got the new stock dropped in the barreled action after putting the finish on the stock, installed the sights. The other thing I installed was a muzzle brake, which my friend who is a machinest made for me( always nice to have friends with talent!!!) onto which I nistalled the front globe sight. As far as back stops, I have 2 , one is a wooden box with a steel plate in it at 45 degres to deflect the pellets down in the box, it's noisy the other is quieter , a wooden box again but with Duct Seal packed in the back to stop the pellets...very quite
