15DFA803-61DA-45AF-9B68-167DEA6E5448.jpgAfter patiently waiting finally got the T1X in 20” 22lr
Cleaned it up dropped it in the t3 Varmint stock put a leupold Br 24 target dot on top with warne high rings

First impressions stock is like the the t3x with a plastic but pad instead of rubber the length of pull is short so most people would probably like the t3x Butt pad or limb saver.

Barrel is really nice blue super glossy the thread protector is plastic but does not feel cheap and matches the barrel very well.

Bolt as with the t3x and t3 the bolt is one of Tikka’s strong points and this is no different because the bolt knob is the same size as the t3 it’s really easy to grab. The fact that the bolt only needs to be risen 45deg then pulled back a couple inches to release and shoot again. This feature is something not enough people are talking about. If you want to reload without taking the rifle off your shoulder this is a game changer. I have a cz 452 style which I love but as far as ease of use this design is superior. Also much prefer the side bolt release over trigger release.

The trigger oh my lord this trigger is so so good I love the trigger on my tikka Battue but after putting this one close to 2pds it’s just so perfect.

The mag..... yes I to was expecting it to look like the promo pictures and yes the 17hmr does just not the 22lr. In your hand it does not look bad but more importantly it’s easy to load and functions really well. It’s also very big width wise which makes it easy to handle. I think it looks better then the cz 10rd, I hope they make a 5rnd.

So far so good I’ll be at the range on Sunday to see if it goes bang830C0E7C-1E13-4EF9-B7D6-AE283CE72D2B.jpg

Ok so shot all day today with the T1X as the feature rifle.
Shot from bags with 2 piece rail, and warne fixed rings
Scope is a leupold Br 24 with target dot of .250
The gun is 20” barrel in 22lr with the Tikka T3 Varmint stock with no shoe horn. Rear action screw at 30inch pounds and front at 40 inch pounds. It was a very bright day no clouds and sun rises directly into my eyes for the first half of the day. There no wind really and the temp was a hair above freezing. I’m not the best shooter I know but I’m an intermediate shooter.
I shot 5 into a sight in target then 5 at the target in the picture I really only bore snaked the barrel twice today and shot a fair amount. Here is the results.26FC1C7E-38E8-4187-93D8-2AAC932CB3B3.jpgAA7D4EC4-8772-486C-88B5-0D0BB266AD52.jpgE91AE02A-149D-4B30-A7FD-2461CEC1B9A3.jpgECB62CC9-8F3B-413F-AB14-DA8A6E66FCAC.jpg28786538-F3A0-4F31-A786-2B902E59B931.jpgBD2210FC-2A85-435E-8F8F-92E7BCDE1E89.jpg07700287-A2D5-44C7-8C5A-26085E447E84.jpg

Like I said in the other post, thanks for the range report and the rifle shows promise. Did you adjust your trigger prior to going out?

That American Eagle is awesome. With a 5 shot 1.905" group at 50 and 0.84" group at 100, it shoots even better as the distance increases. I'm going to look for some.

That rifle needs Elay Edge I guarantee same hole numbers! And Centerx behind that every rifle I own shoots this stuff well my Brno custom pulls .180 to .275 @50 that rifle will perform awesome with that stuff!
If you try others please post again thanks!
