My Range Pistol Transport Solution

I'm not seeing the wheels? It can't be that heavy and stooping over to drag it would be harder on the back then just carrying it!

It's interesting that with all the weight and bag restrictions when traveling that wheeled luggage is so popular.

Here's a pic with wheels and collapsible handle.

I don't know who you fly with but in allowed three bags weighing 70 LBS each in my checked luggage. Try carryin this and an ammo can full of ammo to feed all those pistols for a range trip.

I made a similar case by cutting the liner out of a dewalt combo tool case that I got from the ReStore for $15 and some foam from a couple old couch cushions (free). A good sharp carving knife works great on the foam. My previous carry box was an old steel circular saw box crammed with foam.........no wheels though!

It's bigger then it looks in the other picture.
I usually fly with the cheapest ticket going to my destination maybe that's why I don't get to bring 210 lbs of luggage.
Even the carry on bags have wheels these days.

I absolutely love my Pelican. I traveled for 10 years with a similar one. They are built to last and will survive anything short of fire.

Put them in your will. Your kids will inherit your pelicans.

It's interesting how people's moods when it comes to types of firearms when buying or shooting can change and vary. I wasn't really into handguns for the first 3 years I had my license. I bought a Glock 17 the first year and never shot it for a year after buying it. Now I'm hot and heavy for handguns and AR's. I've bought 3 AR's and two pistols this month alone.

I was a wood guy now all I see is black.

Great job. I've done the same with an underwater kinetics case I recently bought. The problem is that there is room for 4,and I only have 3...so I need another pistol to balance things out.

I had the same idea but went with a 1650 to replace my whole range box and getting custom foam from mycasebuilder.com

Some thing like this:
