I had just turned the thing on and had just put the first 50gram weight on it to calibrate and it just shut off on me, and will not turn back on.

I was getting ready ready to get 300 rounds loaded before bed tonight. I guess I will have to rely on my powder thrower for them.

Anyone know if RCBS will cross ship because I really don't want to be without it any longer than I have too.

And Competition season is just starting!!!! DAMNIT

Sorry to hear that. Actually I've just finished a couple of batches of 45-70 loads using my 1500 ChargeMaster Combo and to date, it's never missed a beat.
As a suggestion, perhaps ask them for help/suggestions via their website or phone them in the morning. I've done so a couple of times looking for tech info and they've been more than helpful.

It may be something simple they can walk you through on line or over the phone.

By all means, if that's what ends up being required but again, first of all I would contact them either on line or by phone, just incase there is a quick easy fix to the problem. The website or the 1-800 # is quick and cost you nothing.

It will cost as much to ship it back to RCBS as it would be to ship it back to where I bought it.

I will give them a call tomorrow and see if they can help that way. Thanks

I hope I only have to mail the scale portion and not the whole kit. Hell of alot cheaper to send the scale in a box by itself.

when i sent my 5-0-5 scale in for a broken beam(blame my dad, he gave it to me like that), they said no worries and gave me an authorization number to write on the box or inside, and had me ship it one way, and they shipped it back.

We already shipped back a RCBS chargemaster as well. No problems getting a new one.

Not sure what happened to it. May have been sitting on the bech when we were pulling a batch of bullets. Not exactly sure.

Either way, it would alway dispense a few extra grains and put the charge over.

New one works good.

I've dealt with rcbs directly before and they were awesome.
just give them a call. I had purchased some used stuff and told them so, they didn't care. they sent me replacement parts for free.

Could I place an order now for one of the calves? I would like a male calf, if you have any left. Reloading small ammo, so small RCBS calf would be just fine!

"...would like a male calf..." That'd be a little bull.
Try unplugging it, count to 10 and plug it in again. Using your thrower will still need a scale.

Are they not in California or out west somewhere? Maybe they are still open? Call them if you can. As suggested most things electronic that crashes can be reset by unplugging it for 10-? seconds and plugging it in again.
Good luck

My first Chargemester had an issue with the display. The dispenser/scale worked just great, but the display was dark for half of the screen. I contacted RCBS, they gave me directions on where to ship, and I had a brand new one in 2 weeks. No problems since. Eagleye.

I tried yesterday after work but they were already closed and they are only open Monday to Thursday so I guess I will call on Monday.

Now I remember why I got a Chargemaster......measuring on a beam scale is so S....L....O....W....!

This may not help....I had a small issue with my Chargemaster, it switched itself off and would not restart so I left it switched on at the power point for 24 hours, it appears that there is a small battery that holds a charge for the memory.
This worked for me, it may not for you.

I have all weekend and it can't hurt to try :D

Had a small issue with the number pad last month with a unit I bought @10 months ago; the 2-5-8 line would enter 3-6-9 respectively. The 1-4-7 and 3-6-9 numbers were okay. Russell's were great and made an exchange on the spot.
