My RCBS Chargemaster just calved on me!!!

Had a small issue with the number pad last month with a unit I bought @10 months ago; the 2-5-8 line would enter 3-6-9 respectively. The 1-4-7 and 3-6-9 numbers were okay. Russell's were great and made an exchange on the spot.

I had the exact same problem the second time I used it - very common so I hear. I was all ready to send it back, and it corrected itself. Left it unplugged for a week or so and when I tried it again, it was ok. Fine every since, but I'm waiting...........

Quality Control on these seems to be poor.

i have an odd question to owners on both sides of the spectrum regarding glitches.

does anybody run their electronic scale thru a ups or line filter to eliminate any electric interference like small surges or drops in the line?

or is this a non issue?
it just seems that the scale is a very fine tuned piece of equipment and that any interference might adjust it.

I had a similar problem with mine. It started to act up after unplugging the transformer without first shutting the unit off. Tried it off and on for about a week and could not get it to work right. Was ready to send back, had it all packaged up but forgot to include all the parts, unwrapped the package and thought, what the hell, let's try it one more time, ---- it worked.
