My recent project.

Well after much research, here is what I have found.... In the Gen 1 Specops stocks, and oversized safety was a major issue. When the gun was fired the recoil forces the gun back causing the saftey to collide with the pistol grip. The only 2 safeties said to work are the Wilson combat and the s&j. This was addressed in the Gen 2 stock which is what I have. If you look at the pics skoal posted for me, you can see the stock has been trimmed out to make a larger gap around the safety. As well I am using an s&j saftey. So what I am going to do next.... Wait until my wilson combat safeties come in from Wolverine supply. I am going to go to the range, let off 00 buck and 1 oz slugs with the s&j saftey installed. If I see signs of the safety coming in contact with the pistol grip I will swap out the safety and retry.

let me know how old your you S&J safety is and they will tell you weather is will clear or not

Very nice Grizzly. I was thinking of replacing some of the parts in mine with 870 parts, this convinced me.
 
Nice rig! Looks a little like mine. I love the 8.5" setup. I have a red dot on my rail now

Thanks for the idea about pinning the plastic insert, I was just trying to figure out a solution for this last night! Like the extra capacity but not the mag cap coming loose. Have you used it much since doing that - how is it holding up?
