My refinishing project on an old rifle (BSA CF2)

Mosin, I was looking at that rifle and I guess you just pulled the trigger on it before I decided to. Very nice job. Is the trigger adjustable on that model?

It is user adjustable externally using an allen key on the trigger itself. It was already about 2 lbs when I got it. I think that's fine.

There's a BSA CF2 in 6.5x55 on the EE for $475.

Hi Ted,

Bore is good and the caliber is inherently accurate. I think once I found a good hand load and get more time behind the trigger, it should show its potential.

Show us some pics of your BSA's

Here's a group I shot last month.

Here's another group shot this month. It measures 13/16"

Both shot at 100 yd. with the Majestic 7X57.

I am away at the moment. Will post a picture of the CF2 when I get back.

Nice rifle. The Majestic was BSA's first push-feed design I believe. They are nice specimens.

Do you hunt with them?

I tried some test loads of RL-22 44.5 and 45 gr, Hornady SST 140gr.

Seem to shoot okay, but I was getting used to the rifle so will have to try some more batches.

Thats nice work, not made to look new just loved a bit more. I am inspired to visit the auctions, always plenty of BSA under £100 each.
