I have no problems getting a consistent placement on the gun to look through the sights. As for putting the wooden stocks back on, thats not gonna happen, I grew up shooting pistol grip stocks and I just can't e comfortable with the grip. As for the 3 point sling I would much rather wear the gun on my back traversing some of the slash I have to walk through every day. As for the iron sights well thats why I have the see through mounts, most of the instances I will be shooting without the scope. but like I said one of the spots I can go to has a clean line of sight for about 300 yards. Something I wouldn't do with iron sights, even 3x magnification is ify at 300 yards.
This scope provides better low light vis than what I can afford in a 32mm scope and even a 40mm scope. thats why I put this one on, not to mention I don't really mind too much if this one gets bounced around a bit in the bush.
I can appreciate that you guys may not enjoy the fact that I have to have a single setup for close range brushing and long range(in our neck of the woods 300yard is really long) a red dot won't cut it, a 32mm scope isn't gonna give me the low light ability I want.
So this to me is a pretty fair compromise.
Of course if someone wants to give me a nice 32mm nikkon than I am game.
So here are my requirements.
Light maneuverable gun.
Scope good for low light shooting
Shots up as close as 30 - 40 yards and as far as 300 yards.
Pistol grip stock(can't get used to contorting my wrist to hold a gun)
