My review on the Archangel SKS stock.

Don't listen to the haters, put as much black on it as possible!!

Can't justify detachable mags??

I can, it's called a fast trigger finger, bet you i can clear a stopage and clear a fte or ftf quicker than you can using stripperclips!!!

It's all about the fun, and fun as we all know, comes in evil black looking packages that include detachable magazines....

All to ya, bud!

It is all about fun.
I'd have more fun running 10 round 7.62X39' pistol mags in a modified SKS then I would attaching a pinned 5/30 round plastic banana.

Would it not be possible to just cut a slot for the bayonet in the bottom of the stock? You'd probably loose functionality of what it looks like the QD ring hole at the front, but some people may not have an issue with that.

Had already looked at that, wasn't sure about cutting it so I left it alone.

Another option is to knock out the two little pins, and remove the bayonet lug (and front sight) completely.

It may weaken it a lot depending on how deep you have to go.

I dunno what SKS you have, or what ammo you run, but I have never had a FTF or FTE in over 1000 rounds... Maybe it's a detachable mag thing :D And I bet anyone after getting used to this rifle, could spray a lot more bullets with stripper clips then mags any day of the week, no matter how fast your trigger finger is. And I am also curious as to why you are so much quicker clearing the jams, you release the mag , clear, close it or place new mag in, please explain how a mag makes it all quicker?

Nice rifle to the OP by the way, its a sweet looking setup , definitely considering one of these.

Can a different aftermarket sight be installed after this?

I prefer it without sights.

I put a home-made barrel shroud where the bayonet lug and front sight were.

the sks (like the 10/22) is a great gun to shoot (play with) on it's own...
that inlcudes trying different stuff (stocks, mags, sights/optics, etc)
...almost a $1000 for a cz gives a lot of room to have fun 'tactacooling' an sks (or two)... imo
we all know it's the best bang for the buck!

over priced yes at 700$ retail i dont see alot...

OP and those who used it did you see a change in accuracy or precision?

Didn't see much change at all, couldn't fallow up as quick because it slaps a bit harder but that's it.

I mean its no serious target shooter but from 100 yards the group us usually all in the 1 ft black circle... Same applied to the new stock. The sights or barrel isn't changed, your accuracy shouldn't change to much with a new stock.
