You are going to like that Rock tube. Mine does extremly well w/ 175 MKs. We'll see how it does w/ 155 lapuas this coming season.

Good to see that you support Sam Adams. He has done many Rem 700's. He trues bolt and action face, laps lugs and will recut threads true when puttting on a new barrel. He has nice jigs for all work and has been doing this for years. His bedding is also superior. He has done work for Armamnt Technology and Andy Webber has been succesful with these rifles. Also nice man to deal with. 1-902-897-4327. Sam has a variety of reamers and we sometimes get involved with that, as we are in the component/ammo business.

I've been wanting after one of these rifles since I tried ASW's on my RSO course in about 1996...so this is a decade in the making for me.
Off to try and do some break-in this afternoon. Too nice a day NOT to go shooting!

Got up to round # 6 with the break-in. (Shoot-clean-shoot-clean-shoot-clean-etc)
#1 was off the paper (piss-poor job boresighting it on my part)
#2-6 made a nice tight group that I didn't measure, but left me quite pleased.
Next time out I'll be using some Norma Match ammo instead of just hunting fodder that I brought out to use for the break-in. I'll also remember to bring the sand-bag along so I can actually get a nice tight shoulder fit.
100% satisfied, the full measure of the rifle has not yet been tested though. Stand-by.
It was rather nice to be able to shoot in a t-shirt today too...man, 8 degrees and almost dead calm this afternoon! Beauty!

I had a chance to zero this rifle prior to the Irving match.... In 45 minutes I zeroed from 100-800m (a lot of shooting and scooting); My first shot off at 800m was an excellent.... the butt's called back... Headshot, lets pack it in!!
This gun had a lot of wins behind it... now with the new facelift... I imagine it will be a top-gun on the range...First match this gun placed 2nd and 4th.... with a emergency zero.
