My rifle shoots 1/2" groups.... too bad I don't... Yet...

And another attempt.... My God this challenge is going to bankrupt me.

But always getting better. I think my biggest issue now is patience, as barrel heat is almost certainly a major issue.

the .425" group was on track to be .178" until shot number 5..... Why is it always the last round?

I'll give this a shot. The rifle im going to be using is my wife's Weatherby Vangaurd Camilla in 308Win, topped with a Leupold VX-2.

I was doing load development and it gave me three groups under .5"

Blew my mind, this is the most accurate factory gun ive ever seen... with a pencil thin 20" barrel to be pulling groups like that.

Did you get that Desert Tech as a .260 and change it over to .308?

Also, this is a very cool challenge. I'll have to take a kick at the can when I get a chance.

Range: 100y
Math to determine MOA if over 100y range: N/A


Group 1 = .312"
Group 2 = .424"
Group 3 = .331"
Group 4 = .331"
Group 5 = .624" :(

Avg = .404"

But... This was at 200Y :)

Overall group was 1.194" with the one outlier, and .874" had I managed to keep it in the group.

Finally Did it... Posted in the 1/2" challenge thread. WooHoo!

Next up to calculate how much ammo it cost me over the many attempts... Thats gonna hurt .
